As ministers of over 15 years, we have seen and lived through the bad, the ugly and the restored beauty of leadership in the local church of Brazil.
Brazil is a nation that serves the Lord passionately. From their surrendered worship to their committed service to the local churches, you will see church leaders abandon all else to see souls come into the Kingdom of God.
What is not typically built into that passion for the Lord is the understanding that broken vessels will go as far as they can hold the water. Once they are empty, they run dry and they don't know why they can't hold the water anymore. And then a destructive cycle happens:
They start blaming themselves.
They start doubting their calling.
They start acting out of frustration.
They start hurting the people they served for so long.
The local church start doing more harm than good.
This is where we see the greatest need and opportunity to help them develop a culture of healing. We believe that a Christian leadership that is equipped with personal healing, greater maturity and the tools to minister healing to others will lead to healthier community as they sustain their own health and healing.
